Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Causes of Death and that Believing People May Die by any Manner of Dying 4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ٠َاتَ دَاوُدُ النَّبِيُّ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َفْجُوءاً فَأَظَلَّتْهُ الطَّيْرُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا وَ٠ُ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) فِي التِّيهِ فَصَاحَ صَائِحٌ ٠ُوسَى (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) وَأَيُّ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَ٠4.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Faddal, from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Prophet David died suddenly on a Saturday and birds provided shadow over his body. Moses died in the wilderness where he had lost his way. A voice cried from the sky, “Moses has died! Who is he that does not die?””’
