Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: The Reward for a Person Suffering from Illness َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَكَ٠َرْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َّى لَيْلَةٍ كَفَّارَةٌ لِ٠َا قَبْلَهَا وَلِ٠10.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from al-Hakam ibn Miskin from Muhammad ibn Marwan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that suffering from fever for one night is expiation (for the sins) before and thereafter.” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/266))
