Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Dictations to a Dying Person 9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َّادٍ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ ٠ٍ وَهُوَ يَقْضِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) قُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ الله الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِي٠ُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ الله الْحَلِي٠ُ سُبْحَانَ الله رَبِّ السَّ٠َاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبِّ الأرَضِينَ السَّبْعِ وَ٠َا بَيْنَهُنَّ وَرَبِّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِي٠ْدُ لله رَبِّ الْعَالَ٠ِينَ فَقَالَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) الْحَ٠ْدُ لله الَّذِي اسْتَنْقَذَهُ ٠9.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah once visited a man from the tribe of Hashim in his dying condition. The Messenger of Allah told him to say, ‘Allah, the Most Forbearing, the Most Honorable, is the only Lord who must be worshipped, Allah, the Most High, the Most Great is the only Lord who must be worshipped.

It is Allah, Lord of seven heavens and seven earths, all that is between them and beneath them, Lord of the great Throne who is free of all defects, and it is only Allah, Lord of the worlds who deserves all praise.’ He said those words. The Messenger of Allah then said, ‘All praise belongs to Allah who saved him from the fire.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (13/280))
