Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad al-Kindiy from more than one person from Aban ibn âUthman from âAbd af-Rahman ibn abu âAbd Aliah who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about how many pieces of fabric must be used for shrouding a woman.
He (the Imam) said, âFive pieces of fabric must be used for shrouding a woman, of which one is al-Khimar (veil)â ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (13/315))
