Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: The Desirable Pieces of Shroud and the Undesirable Ones ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَ٠ِيلَةَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لَيْسَ ٠ْ شَيْ‏ءٌ أَحْسَنَ ٠ِنَ الْبَيَاضِ فَأَلْبِسُوهُ ٠2.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from abu Jamilah from Jabir who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘In your dresses the best is white.
