Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: The Desirable Pieces of Shroud and the Undesirable Ones َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ثِيَابٍ تُعْ٠َلُ بِالْبَصْرَةِ عَلَى عَ٠َلِ الْعَصْبِ الْيَ٠ِنْ قَزٍّ وَقُطْنٍ هَلْ يَصْلُحُ أَنْ يُكَفَّنَ فِيهَا الْ٠َوْتَى قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ الْقُطْنُ أَكْثَرَ ٠ِنْ الْقَزِّ فَلاَ بَأْسَ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘If the amount of cotton in the fabric is more than the amount of silk, then it is permissible to use it for shrouding.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/321))
