Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from âIsmaâil ibn Marrar from Yunus from abu Basir from who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about a deceased woman as to who is most deserving to perform Salah (prayer) for her. He (the Imam) said, âHer husband deserves the most to perform Salah (prayer) for her.â I then asked, âIs he more deserving than her father, brother or son?
He (the Imam) said, âYes, he is more deserving.ââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (14/36))
