Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: There is No Particular Du’a or Salam in Salah (Prayer) for a Dead Body ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ ٠ُسْكَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) لَيْسَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى الْ٠2.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ’Abd Allah ibn Muskan from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There is no Salam (the phrase of offering greeting of peace) to end Salah (prayer) for a deceased.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (14/64))
