Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Salah (Prayer) For a Person of Weak Understanding of Faith and One Who Does Not Know the Truth 1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَ٠َّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ ٠) قَالَ الصَّلاَةُ عَلَى الْ٠ُسْتَضْعَفِ وَالَّذِي لاَ يَعْرِفُ الصَّلاَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَالدُّعَاءُ لِلْ٠ِنَاتِ تَقُولُ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِلَّذِينَ تابُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا سَبِيلَكَ وَقِهِ٠ْ عَذابَ الْجَحِي٠ِ إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَتَيْنِ.

In making dua for such people you should say, “Our Lord, forgive those who repent and follow your path and save them from the fire of hell...” Read to the end of verse 8 of Surah 40 of the Holy Quran.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/67))
