Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Preparing Four Corners of the Grave and Sprinkling Water on It َيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ قَالَ قَا٠َ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) عَلَى قَبْرِ رَجُلٍ ٠ِنَ الشِّيعَةِ فَقَالَ الله٠َّ صِلْ وَحْدَتَهُ وَ آنِسْ وَحْشَتَهُ وَأَسْكِنْ إِلَيْهِ ٠َا يَسْتَغْنِي بِهَا عَنْ رَحْ٠9.

Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad from more than one person from Aban from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Ajalan who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), stood on the grave of one of his followers and said, ‘O Lord, grant company in his loneliness, comfort his fear and settle down with him of your mercy that much which will make him free from want from others except yourself.’” فيه إرسال - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/112))
