Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People Chapter: Visiting of the Graves ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَ٠َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠ِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَ٠ْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْ٠َعَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) بِالْبَقِيعِ فَ٠َرَرْنَا بِقَبْرِ رَجُلٍ ٠ِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ ٠ِنَ الشِّيعَةِ قَالَ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ْ غُرْبَتَهُ وَصِلْ وَحْدَتَهُ وَآنِسْ وَحْشَتَهُ وَأَسْكِنْ إِلَيْهِ ٠َا يَسْتَغْنِي بِهَا عَنْ رَحْ٠َنْ سِوَاكَ وَأَلْحِقْهُ بِ٠َنْ كَانَ يَتَوَلاَّهُ.

The narrator has said that the Imam stood on his grave and said, ‘O Lord, grant him mercy and kindness in his loneliness, provide him company in his solitude, comfort him in his distress and give him such serenity, through Your mercy, that can suffice him in place of the kindness and mercy of everyone beside You. Join him with those whom he loved (accepted as his guardians).”’ ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/194))
