Al-Kāfi - The Book on Dying People

30.It is narrated from the same narrator as the previous Hadith from Fadalah from Isma’il ibn abu Ziyad who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘One who counts tomorrow as part of his life, he has not paid proper attention to death.’ The Imam then said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Any servant of Allah who cherishes long-term worldly expectations, he becomes involved in bad deeds.’ ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say, ‘A servant of Allah who sees his death fast approaching, he dislikes the deeds for the sake of the worldly life.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (4/258))
