Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: The Excellence of Prayer ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َرَّ بِالنَّبِيِّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) رَجُلٌ وَهُوَ يُعَالِجُ بَعْضَ حُجُرَاتِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ الله أَلاَ أَكْفِيكَ فَقَالَ شَأْنَكَ فَلَ٠َّا فَرَغَ قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) حَاجَتُكَ قَالَ الْجَنَّةُ فَأَطْرَقَ رَسُولُ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ثُ٠َّا وَلَّى قَالَ لَهُ يَا عَبْدَ الله أَعِنَّا بِطُولِ السُّجُودِ.

He asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, can I help you?’ He replied, ‘As you wish.’ When the work finished, the Messenger of Allah (sw) asked, ’Can I do anything for you?’ The man pleaded, ’(I want) Paradise!’ The Messenger of Allah (sw) looked into the sky then said, ‘Yes, (paradise is your reward).’ When he (the man) was leaving, he (the Prophet) said to him, ‘O servant of Allah, you must assist us by prolonging your Sajdah (prostration).’ صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (15/10))
