Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them َاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠َرْأَةِ عَلَيْهَا أَذَانٌ وَإِقَا٠18.

Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a woman is required to say Adhan and ‘Iqamah.
