Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them َدَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عِ٠ْرَانَ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ ٠َرْوَانَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠ُؤَذِّنُ يُغْفَرُ لَهُ ٠َدَى صَوْتِهِ وَيَشْهَدُ لَهُ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ سَ٠28.

Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Yahya ibn ‘Imran al-Halabiy from Muhammad ibn Marwan who has said the following: “I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘One who recites Adhan receives forgiveness for the sins as big as the space his voice fills and everything hearing him bears witness to this fact.’” (Ahadith 9-28 are best expressed in the form of fatwa.) جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (15/92))
