Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Commencement of Adhan, Iqamah, and the Excellence of Reading them َاعَةٌ عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْ٠َانَ الْجَعْفَرِيِّ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ أَذِّنْ فِي بَيْتِكَ فَإِنَّهُ يَطْرُدُ الشَّيْطَانَ وَيُسْتَحَبُّ ٠ِنْ أَجْلِ الصِّبْيَانِ. 35.

A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Sulayman al-Ja‘fariy who has said the following: “I once heard him (the Imam (a.s.)), say, ’Recite the Adhan in your house, for it repels Satan and it is a beloved thing to do for the sake of children.’” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/96))
