A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Saâid from Fadalah from ibn Sinan from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about a womanâs leading other women in Salah (prayer).
He (the Imam) said, âShe can do so if they all follow her in optional Salah (prayer), but not in obligatory Salah (prayer), and she is not to lead them, instead she stands up in their middle.ââ صØÙØ Ø¹Ù٠اÙظاÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (5/262))
