Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Kinds of Clothes in Which It Is Undesirable to Perform Salah (Prayer) As Well As Otherwise ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ يُكْرَهُ الصَّلاَةُ إِلاَّ فِي ثَلاَثَةٍ الْخُفِّ وَالْعِ٠َةِ وَالْكِسَاءِ. 29.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from who, in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Performing Salah (prayer) is undesirable except in three items: slippers, turban, and cloak.”’ رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/321))
