Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: The Time for Friday and ‘Asr Salah (prayer) َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ السِّ٠ْطِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ يَوْ٠ُعَةِ فَقَالَ فِي ٠ِثْلِ وَقْتِ الظُّهْرِ فِي غَيْرِ يَوْ٠3.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Nadr ibn Suwayd from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from Sufyan ibn al-Simt who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the time of al-‘Asr Salah (prayer) on Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is at the time of al-Dhuhr Salah (prayer) during the days other than Fridays.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/352))
