Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Recitations on Friday and Night َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عُثْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَ٠َاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) اقْرَأْ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْجُ٠ُعَةِ وَسَبِّحِ اسْ٠َ رَبِّكَ الأعْلَى وَفِي الْفَجْرِ بِسُورَةِ الْجُ٠ُعَةِ وَقُلْ هُوَ الله أَحَدٌ وَفِي الْجُ٠2.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from and Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘On Friday night recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and Sabbih Isma Rabbika al-‘A‘la In Friday morning recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and Chapter 112, and in Friday Salah (prayer) recite Surah (chapter) al-Jumu‘ah and al-Munafiqun.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (5/362))
