Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Hadid from Ali ibn al-Nuâman from al-Harith ibn al- Mughirah al-Nasriy who has said the following: âI heard abu âAbd Allah, saying, âDuring the day there are sixteen Rakâats Salah (prayer).
There are eight after the sun declines to the west at noon, eight after Dhuhr Salah (prayer), four Rakâat after Maghrib (soon after sunset) - O Harith do not miss them at home or on a journey- and two Rakâat after the âIshaâ al-Akhirah (late evening Salah (prayer)). My father would perform these two Rakâat in a sitting position. I perform them in a standing position.
The Messenger of Allah would perform thirteen Rakâat Salah (prayer) during the night.ââ ضعÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (15/405))
