Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

Chapter: Salah (Prayer) of Both ‘Id and the Sermon for it 2ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَ٠َرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ لاَ صَلاَةَ يَوْ٠َ الْفِطْرِ وَالأضْحَى إِلاَّ ٠2.

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from Ma‘mar ibn Yahya who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘There is not any Salah (prayer) on the day of al-Fitr or al- Adha’ except with Imam.”’ شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (15/431))
