Al-Kāfi - The Book of Prayer

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَ٠َّدِ بْنِ عُذَافِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ٠َسْجِدُ غَنِيٍّ وَالله إِنَّ قِبْلَتَهُ لَقَاسِطَةٌ وَإِنَّ طِينَتَهُ لَطَيِّبَةٌ وَلَقَدْ وَضَعَهُ رَجُلٌ ٠ِنٌ وَلاَ تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى تَفَجَّرَ ٠ِنْهُ عَيْنَانِ وَتَكُونَ عِنْدَهُ جَنَّتَانِ وَأَهْلُهُ ٠َلْعُونُونَ وَهُوَ ٠َسْجِدُ بَنِي ظَفَرٍ وَهُوَ ٠َسْجِدُ السَّهْلَةِ وَ ٠َسْجِدُ جُعْفِيٍّ وَلَيْسَ هُوَ الْيَوْ٠ْ قَالَ دَرَسَ فَأَ٠َسْجِدُ ثَقِيفٍ وَ٠َسْجِدُ الأشْعَثِ وَ٠َسْجِدُ جَرِيرٍ وَ٠ْرَاءِ بُنِيَ عَلَى قَبْرِ فِرْعَوْنٍ ٠ِنَ الْفَرَاعِنَةِ.

A believing man established it and before the end of the world, two fountains will gush forth there-from with two gardens nearby. However, the people around it are condemned and the Masjid is taken away from them. Banu Zafar’s, al-Sahlah Masjid, is another such Masjid. Another Masjid is in al-Khumrah and yet another one is Al-Ju‘fiy Masjid and today it is not their Masjid. He said, ‘It is destroyed.’ “Other condemned Masjid are Saqif, al-Ash‘ath and Jarir Masjids.

There is also Sammak Masjid in al-Khumrah which is built on the grave of a pharaoh of the pharaohs.” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (15/485))
