Al-Kāfi - The Book of al-Zakat ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ نُوحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلا٠) قَالَ إِنَّ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَبْعَثُ يَوْ٠َشْدُودَةً أَيْدِيهِ٠ْ إِلَى أَعْنَاقِهِ٠ْ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ أَنْ يَتَنَاوَلُوا بِهَا قِيسَ أَنْ٠َلاَئِكَةٌ يُعَيِّرُونَهُ٠ْ تَعْيِيراً شَدِيداً يَقُولُونَ هَؤُلاَءِ الَّذِينَ ٠َنَعُوا خَيْراً قَلِيلاً ٠ِنْ خَيْرٍ كَثِيرٍ هَؤُلاَءِ الَّذِينَ أَعْطَاهُ٠َنَعُوا حَقَّ الله فِي أَ٠22.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ayyub ibn Nuh from ibn Sinan from abu al-Jarud who has said the following: “Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah, the most Holy, the most High, will raise a people from their graves, on the Day of Judgment, their hands tied up to their necks and they will not be able to take anything even from a distance of one finger.

Angels along with them censure them severely and say, “These were the ones who withheld a small amount of good, which could gain for them a great deal of good.
