Al-Kāfi - The Book of Zakat

Chapter: Giving Charity to Relatives 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) الصَّدَقَةُ بِعَشَرَةٍ وَالْقَرْضُ بِثَ٠َانِيَةَ عَشَرَ وَصِلَةُ الإِخْوَانِ بِعِشْرِينَ وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِ٠ِ بِأَرْبَعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ.

‘The Messenger of Allah has, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, said, ‘The reward for giving charity is tenfold, for giving a loan is eighteen-fold, for one for maintaining good relations with friends is twenty-fold, and for one maintaining good relations with relatives is twenty-four-fold. ’ ” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/135))
