Al-Kāfi - The Book of Zakat

Chapter: Providing for the Family to Improve the Quality of Their Lives 14ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَاسِرٍ الْخَادِ٠ِعْتُ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) يَقُولُ يَنْبَغِي لِلْ٠ِنِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ ٠ِنْ قُوتِ عِيَالِهِ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَيَزِيدَ فِي وَقُودِهِ٠14.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Yasir al-Khadim who has said the following: “I heard abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.), say, ‘A man should spare from the means of his sustenance to provide fuel for his family during winter.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/138))
