Al-Kāfi - The Book of Zakat

Chapter: The Excellence of Moderation َّدٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ صَلَوَاتُ الله عَلَيْهِ الْقَصْدُ ٠َثْرَاةٌ وَالسَّرَفُ ٠4.

Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated in a marfu‘ manner who has said the following: “’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘Moderation leads to increase, and extravagance leads to destruction.’” رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/183))
