Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Hashim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn âIsa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: âAbu Jaâfar (a.s.), has said, âIslam is founded on five isssues. It is founded on Salat (prayer), zakat, al-Hajj, Fasting and al-Wilayat (belief in Divine Authority of âAâimmah).
The Messenger of Allah has said, âFasting is a shield against the fire of hell.â Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/197))
