Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from âUthman ibn âIsa from Samaâah ibn Mehran who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about the case of two men who both look toward dawn and one of them say, âThere is dawn/ but the other one says, âI do not see anything/ He (the Imam) said, âThe one who does not see any dawn, eats but eating is unlawful for one who thinks he has seen the dawn.
Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, says, âEat and drink until the white thread appears from the dark thread of dawn/ (2:187)â ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/265))
