Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from al-âAlaâ ibn Razin from Musa ibn Bakr from Zurarah who has said the following: âAbu â Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ibn âUmm Maktum once said Adhan for the morning Salat (prayer) and a man passed by the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, who was eating.
He (the Messenger of Allah) invited the man to eat Suhur (breakfast in the morning before dawn). He said, âO Messenger of Allah, Muâadhdhin has said Adhan for the morning Salat (prayer).â The Messenger of Allah said, âIbn âUmm Maktum says Adhan in the night; when Bilal says Adhan, then you must stop eating.ââ Ø´ÙÙر - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (6/266))
