1.Abu Ali al-Ashâariy has narrated from Muhammad âAbd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Hammad ibn âUthaman who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), âCan a man who complains of an ear-ache apply medicine to it?â He (the Imam) said, âIt is not harmful.ââ صØÙØ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (6/288))
