Al-Kāfi - The Book of Fasting

Chapter: The Limit of Illness That Exempts One from Fasting َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُثْ٠َانَ عَنْ سُلَيْ٠ْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ اشْتَكَتْ أُ٠َةُ الله عَلَيْهَا عَيْنَهَا فِي شَهْرِ رَ٠َرَهَا رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَنْ تُفْطِرَ وَقَالَ عَشَاءُ اللَّيْلِ لِعَيْنِكِ رَدِيٌّ.

The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, commanded her to eat, saying, ‘Not to eat until supper can cause the demise of your eyes.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (6/308))
