Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu â Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: âI asked abu âAbdillah (a.s.) about a man who owes Qadaâ (compensatory fast) of the month of Ramadan if he can fast an optional fast.â He (the Imam) replied, âNo, he cannot do so before completing the Qadaâ (compensatory fast) of the month of Ramadan.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/318))
