7.Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from ibn Samaâah, from âIddah from Aban ibn âUthman from Zurarah, from abi Ja'far (a.s.): âI asked about a man who escorts his brother in the month of Ramadan for a distance of one dayâs journey or two days.â He (the Imam) said, âHe should break his fast and complete its Qadaâ (compensatory fast).â It then was asked, âIs escorting more virtuous or is staying home to fast more virtuous?â He replied, âEscorting and breaking the fast is more virtuous; it is a right on him.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (16/331))
