Al-Kāfi - The Book of Fasting

Chapter: The Case of One Who Begins a Journey or Returns from a Journey in the Month of Ramadan َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَ٠َاعَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ ٠ُسَافِرٍ دَخَلَ أَهْلَهُ قَبْلَ زَوَالِ الشَّ٠ْسِ وَقَدْ أَكَلَ قَالَ لا يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ يَوْ٠َهُ ذَلِكَ شَيْئاً وَلا يُوَاقِعُ فِي شَهْرِ رَ٠َضَانَ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ أَهْلٌ.

He (the Imam) said, ’It is not proper for him to eat anything that day and he must not fall (for sexual relation) on his wife, if he has a wife.’” وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/335))
