Al-Kāfi - The Book of Fasting

Chapter: Day of ‘Id, First Day of the Month of Shawwal ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ جَ٠ِيلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ صَبِيحَةُ يَوْ٠ِ الْفِطْرِ نَادَى ٠ُنَادٍ اغْدُوا إِلَى جَوَائِزِكُ٠4.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from certain individuals of our people from Jamil ibn Salih who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when it is the morning of the day of al-Fitr, an announcer announces, ‘Come to receive your presents.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (16/409))
