Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu â Umayr from Muâawiyah ibn âAmmar who has said the following: âAbu âAbd Allah (a.s.), has said, âOf the birds that which flaps its wings in flight is prohibited to be taken out; but you can take out that which does not flap its wings in flight.â I then asked him (the Imam) about the Ethiopian chicken. He (the Imam) said, âIt is not hunting a prey.
Hunting a prey is that which flies between the sky and earth.ââ Øس٠- Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (7/83))
