Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Hunting in al-Haram (the sacred area) and The Expiation for the Same ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ ٠ُثَنًّى الْحَنَّاطِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ خَرَجَ بِطَيْرٍ ٠َكَّةَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ قَالَ يَرُدُّهُ إِلَى ٠9.

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Muthanna’ al-Hannat from Zurarah who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about a man who leaves Makkah with a bird for al-Kufah.
