Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Hunting in al-Haram (the sacred area) and The Expiation for the Same ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْ٠ِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حَ٠ْزَةُ بْنُ الْيَسَعَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) عَنِ الْفَهْدِ يُشْتَرَى بِ٠ِنًى وَيُخْرَجُ بِهِ ٠َا أُدْخِلَ الْحَرَ٠َأْسُوراً فَعَلَيْكَ إِخْرَاجُهُ.

He (the Imam) said, ’Everything of beasts that are brought in al-Haram (the sacred area) in captivity you must take out of al-Haram (the sacred area).”’ جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/97))
