Chapter: The Obligation of al-Hajj and al-Umrah ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ ٠َحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ٠ُوسَى (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ لَيْسَ عَلَى الْ٠ْلُوكِ حَجٌّ وَلا عُ٠ْرَةٌ حَتَّى يُعْتَقَ. 7.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn Mahbub from al-Fadl ibn Yunus who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan, Musa (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not obligatory upon a slave to perform al-Hajj or al-‘Umrah until he is free.’” شهور - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/144))
