Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: One Procrastinates in His Duty of Performing al-Hajj 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي جَ٠ِيلَةَ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّا٠ِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) التَّاجِرُ يُسَوِّفُ نَفْسَهُ الْحَجَّ قَالَ لَيْسَ لَهُ عُذْرٌ وَإِنْ ٠َاتَ فَقَدْ تَرَكَ شَرِيعَةً ٠ِنْ شَرَائِعِ الإِسْلا٠3.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran from abu Jamilah from Zayd al-Shahham who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘There is a merchant who procrastinates in performing al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘If he does it without good reason, he has violated one of the laws of al-Islam.’” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (17/150))
