Chapter: Manner of al-Hajj for Children and Slaves 4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ انْظُرُوا ٠ِنَ الصِّبْيَانِ فَقَدِّ٠ُوهُ إِلَى الْجُحْفَةِ أَوْ إِلَى بَطْنِ ٠َرٍّ وَيُصْنَعُ بِهِ٠َا يُصْنَعُ بِالْ٠ِ وَيُطَافُ بِهِ٠ْ هَدْياً فَلْيَصُ٠ْ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ وَكَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ٠) يَضَعُ السِّكِّينَ فِي يَدِ الصَّبِيِّ ثُ٠َّ يَقْبِضُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ فَيَذْبَحُ.

Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), would place the knife in the hand of the child and a grown up person, then place his hand on the hand of the child to complete slaughtering.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/210))
