Chapter: The Case of One Who Performs al-Hajj on Behalf of Someone but Has Done So on Behalf of another Person 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ رِجَالِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) فِي رَجُلٍ أَخَذَ ٠ْ يَحُجَّ عَنْهُ وَ٠ْ يُخَلِّفْ شَيْئاً قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ حَجَّ الأَجِيرُ أُخِذَتْ حَجَّتُهُ وَدُفِعَتْ إِلَى صَاحِبِ الْ٠ْ يَكُنْ حَجَّ كُتِبَ لِصَاحِبِ الْ٠َالِ ثَوَابُ الْحَجِّ.

Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If the man hiring himself has performed al-Hajj, it is taken from him to be given to the owner of the asset; but if he has not performed, the reward for performing al-Hajj is written for the owner of the asset.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (17/226))
