Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Salat (Prayer) for al-’Ihram, Its Commencement and Conditions 3ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَ٠ْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ فَكَيْفَ أَقُولُ قَالَ تَقُولُ الله٠َّ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَ٠ْرَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ عَلَى كِتَابِكَ وَسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَضْ٠َرْتَ الَّذِي تُرِيدُ.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Say O Lord, I want to perform al- Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) according to Your book and the Sunnah of Your Holy prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause.
