Ahmad has narrated from ibn Mahbub from al-âAlaâ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: âI once asked one of the two Imam, (abu Jaâfar or abu âAbd Allah), âAlayhim al-Salam, about a man who assumes the state of Ihram in dirty cloths. He (the Imam) said, âNo, I do not say it is unlawful but I like it to be cleansed and its cleansing is washing.
One does not wash his cloths of Ihram before coming out of the state of Ihram, even if it becomes dirty, unless it is because of sexual activities (because of which Ghusl (bath) is obligatory) or something of such nature; then one washes them clean. ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (17/282))
