Abu Ali al-Ashâariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn âAbd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ishaq ibn âAmmar who has said the following: âI once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about a man who forgets to cut his nails before assuming the state of Ihram.
He (the Imam) said, âHe must leave them as they are.â I then said, âA man from our people gave a Fatwa to cut his nails and assume the state of Ihram again and he did accordingly.â He (the Imam) said, âHe owes one animal as offering to be slaughtered.ââ ÙØ«Ù - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (17/321))
