Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Disciplines to Maintain in the State of al-’Ihram َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي حَلاَّلٍ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلَيْنِ اقْتَتَلا وَهُ٠َانِ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الله بِئْسَ ٠َا صَنَعَا قُلْتُ قَدْ فَعَلا فَ٠َا الَّذِي يَلْزَ٠َا قَالَ عَلَى كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ ٠9.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy from abu Halal al-Raziy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of two men who fought each other while in the state of Ihram.

He (the Imam) said, ‘Allah is free of all defects, how bad is what they have done!’ I said, ‘They have done it but what must they do?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘They must each offer one animal as offering.’” جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (17/332))
