Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: Expiation for Hunting Wild Animals in the State of al-’ Ihram َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ ٠َاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْ٠َلِكِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠ٌ فَأَخَذَ ظَبْيَةً فَاحْتَلَبَهَا وَشَرِبَ لَبَنَهَا قَالَ عَلَيْهِ دَ٠ٌ وَجَزَاءٌ فِي الْحَرَ٠13.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn from ‘Isma‘il ibn Bazi’ from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah from Yazid ibn ‘ Abd al-Malik who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who in the state of Ihram, when passing by takes hold of a deer, draws her milk and drinks it.

He (the Imam) said, ‘He owes an animal offering as penalty to offer in al-Haram (the sacred area).”’ ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (17/377))
