Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn âIsa from Yasin al-Darir from Hariz from those whom he has mentioned from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: âI once asked abu âAbd Allah (a.s.), about the cost of turtledove, al-Dubsiy, (a certain bird), quail, sparrow and nightingale. He (the Imam) said, âHe owes the cost.
If he, however, has killed it in the state of Ihram in al-Haram (the sacred area), he owes double of the cost, but there is no offering of animal life.ââ جÙÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (7/380))
