Al-Kāfi - The Book of Haj

Chapter: The Differences in Hunting on Land and in the Sea and Lawful Hunting in the State of al-’ Ihram 2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَ٠) قَالَ كُلُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ يَكُونُ أَصْلُهُ فِي الْبَحْرِ وَيَكُونُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ فَلا يَنْبَغِي لِلْ٠ِ أَنْ يَقْتُلَهُ فَإِنْ قَتَلَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ الْجَزَاءُ كَ٠َا قَالَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

If they kill such animals, they owe penalty as Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has said.’” حسن - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (7/386))
